Contest 1 Results
A few short months ago we kicked off the opening of our new aesthetics center by inviting people within our community to participate in a celebration of beauty.
We said, "Beauty begins within and it shines without....". We acknowledged that beauty is not defined by how many lines we manage to escape, erase, or cover up. Nor is it defined by the fine clothes or products we wear. It's defined by the way we act and moreover - by the way others act and feel when they are around us. Beauty is, therefore, contagious.
We asked for photographs of beauty in action. Everyday people who do extraordinary things that make our community such a beautiful place to live. And every single finalist was worthy by definition and spirit to receive acknowledgement for the beauty, character, strength, love, and friendship that was described in each short essay which accompanied the photographs.
And so we have filtered through the entries to identify which best met the criteria of the contest theme, "Beauty in Action" and have made our selection as follows:
Grand Prize Winners
(Pictured Above)Will receive a Fotofacial Package valued at $1,750 each, plus a free photography session AND free 8x10 in the professional studios of Magical Memories Photography in LaGrange, KY
Kathi Showalter and her friend, Lesia Reynolds who, among other more intimate sentiments, shares that Kathi is a friend whom...
"... I never thought I would grow close to because we are so extremely different, but I guess those differences are what draws us close. She is definitely the voice of reason and the one person I go to for sound advice... I would call Kathi an “easy†friend and very low maintenance... I never have to pretend when I’m with her and I can be completely & totally honest with her."
"Not only is Kathi a beautiful friend, but she is also a beautiful mother, wife, daughter, & sister ... Her beauty is contagious all because of two reasons: she treats others the way she would like to be treated and she does her best to be Christ-like all the time– to me, that is TRUE beauty!"
Call it The Golden Rule or Karma, these nominees in our contest have all sown seeds of kindness and respect and are now reaping the rewards of their Beauty in Action. We sincerely thank and congratulate each one for participating.
